Have you ever wanted to embellish your favorite jean jacket, decorate your pants with embroidered patches, or stitch a decorative image you’ve held onto for years? Well, all you really need to accomplish this is to learn the basics of embroidery.

In this 2-hour class you will learn 10 basic embroidery stitches, simple tool use, along with tips on some of the fundamentals of hand embroidery. These stitches are the backbone of embroidery and will provide you with nearly every skill you will need to complete anything from simple to complex pieces.

Provided: (1-pc) muslin fabric for your 6” embroidery hoop; (2-ea) DIY embroidery floss thread cards

Cost: $25 plus $5 supply fee for 6” hoop and needles (n/a if you bring your own)

From Michelle: My mother taught me to embroider when I was about 8 years old. In my 20s, I had a job at a custom sewing shop in Princeton, WI, embroidering on the owner’s handmade clothing, even showing some of our work in a couple local fashion shows. Embroidery has always been a source of relaxation and joy for me - creating beauty with thread and needle.
