Here at the fiber mill, we accumulate quite a bit of grease wool that that has too much hay, manure tags, or other not so great qualities for yarn and running through our machines! We are so excited to find a great use for these bags of waste, and support farmers and shearers who do not have a garment market for their wool clip.

Fleece Nuggets are pelletized wool for your garden beds. It is a slow releasing fertilizer that is rich in nutrients and high in nitrogen. When added to the top of the soil it works to keep the soil moist, wicking water away from the plants themselves, it also acts as a slug and snail deterrent. When mixed into the soil is helps to aerate the soil and promote root growth.

Our Fleece Nuggets go through a shredding process and a super heated pelleting process, so you do not have to worry about weed seeds or pests being introduced to your garden.

Fleece Nuggets also work great for house plants! Simply sprinkle a few in the pot around the plants, or mix them into the soil when repotting to give your plants a boost!
