All embroidery classes are taught by the talented artist Michelle Workowski of Viola.

In this class you will learn a few techniques for mending of knitwear such as socks, mittens, sweaters etc. - darning, ladder stitch and yarn embroidery, to name a few. Visible mending in this way has a similar vibe to the Japanese idea of 'Kintsugi' where they repair broken ceramics with gold lines to make unusual and vibrant works of art out of something already used and loved. As the holes vanish, your knitwear will take on a whole new personality. It will not only be unique but will last longer and surely be more treasured.

Provided: some colorful yarns and embroidery floss

Please bring: any knitwear that needs mending, colorful yarn scraps, darning needles, and scissors
