Do you know how to cast on and do the knit and purl stitches and are ready to take the next step to broaden your skills?

Have you taken on a pattern that’s difficult for you and would love to have help at your side to make sense of it all?

Always wanted to learn stitches like brioche knitting or stranded colorwork but not sure where to start?

Then then this might be for you.

It’s a two hour, semi-private lesson (never more than three others) where each student can choose a different knitting challenge they want to focus on that day.

This is not to replace the day-to-day help we offer at Ewetopia for free, but instead to encourage knitters to challenge themselves to their unique next level, even if it means learning entirely new skills.

Knitters of all skill levels are encouraged–from those who’ve just completed our Learn To Knit class to folks who have been building their skills for years.

Here are a sample of skills you might want to tackle in Open Forum:

  • A first hat: Joining in the round, decreasing stitches, and using double-pointed needles

  • Knitting socks using the “magic loop” technique

  • How to create stitches or lace patterns

  • A first sweater, whether for a baby or yourself

  • Stranded colorwork mittens

  • Brioche

Please decide which pattern or skill you’d like to work on before class. We are happy to help you pick a pattern in the days leading up to your class.

If you have signed up for an Open Forum Class and would like us to help you narrow the pattern options down, just send us an email.

Cost is $20 per session, and five sessions for $80.
